Seargents Mess is one of Sydney’s premier wedding venues and it really does stand out amongst the sea of sameness.

That million dollar view of Sydney Harbour is the reason why my couples love this venue so much, and the food and service is really worth writing home about.

I recently photographed a Hindu wedding ceremony here at Seargents Mess weddings and the backdrop couldn’t be any better as the sun began to set behind the cliff overlooking Chowder Bay. It is private and intimate and the amphitheatre location allows everyone to feel like they are part of the ceremony.

The ceremony was conducted by a Hindu priest, and was my first experience with a Hindu wedding. It is such a beautiful ceremony to witness, and it is all about love, karma, sutra and divinity, and putting your partner above all else. The ceremony has been passed down over thousands of years and I loved the reference “May you live to see 100 Autumns”.

The wedding ceremony was followed by a Indian buffet which of course served in the deck overlooking the harbour as the sun set behind us.

The ceremony was styled by the amazing Amy from Cloud 9 Events and Management.
