They say that you shouldn't mix work and pleasure.
But sometimes, that's the place where you meet the love of your life when you're probably stressed out working long hours, dealing with office politics and all of the usual things that happen when you're stuck for 8+ hours a day 5 days a week at the same place.
What started out as a professional working relationship blossomed into something a bit more when Jason noticed a lovely new team member joining one sunny afternoon.
But it didn't just happen right away, like most things great things take time, quite a few after work functions, coffee runs, team bonding sessions and the usual monday morning team meetings that is normally the biggest waste of time and not very productive.
OK, so enough about how they met, what about the wedding day?
Well, it was a beautiful event, and probably the last wedding I photographed in 2020 that there was absolutely no worry about the upcoming pandemic that was about to change the way we interact with people forever.
Vaucluse House is just one of those truly unique Sydney wedding venues that is just something special from years gone past.
Set in ten hectares of picturesque gardens and grounds, Vaucluse House is hidden away in one very treasured 19th century estate. It is part of Sydney’s living museums which means it’s a state treasure.
Jade and Jason chose to have their wedding ceremony in the lush garden nearby the 18th century fountain with a lovely view of the house in the background.
This Vaucluse House wedding was just so beautiful. Everyone in attendance was so at awe with everything about it.
As Jason waited for his bride to walk down the aisle, out came his daughter. He was so taken with emotion and began to cry. It then started a chain reaction of tears with everyone.
The day continued onward to the Grounds of Alexandria, where they had their wedding reception in The Garden, which is one of my favourite wedding spaces i've come across. It's beautifully lush all year round with blossoming flowers, greenery creating a really relaxed ambience.
Once the sun goes down, everyone partied the night away next to the fountain under the fairy lights, and capped off what was an epic celebration.
Little did they know it was the last time we could all gather and party like no tomorrow!
