Lindesay House Weddings
Linda & Zhen got married at the beautiful National Trust Lindesay House in Darling Point. For those who don’t know about this amazing venue, it’s a historic house that is part of the National Trust of Australia and has been around since the 1830’s.
A bit about the house from their website
“Lindesay, at Darling Point, was built by the Colonial Treasurer Campbell Drummond Riddell in 1834, who purchased 17 acres reserved for him by the Acting Governor, Lieutenant Patrick Lindesay, his friend and fellow Scot, and after whom the house is presumably named.
Only 12 large functions a year are currently allowed at Lindesay so book early to avoid disappointment. YES, only 12 are allowed, so you gotta be in it to win it!
Essentially it’s a living museum and the amazing thing is that you can hire it out for a wedding ceremony. It’s got historic significance in spades, 1800’s architecture and ornaments adorn the house which makes for fantastic wedding photography Sydney.
Upstairs in the house there is an old bedroom where the girls can get ready and has a stunning view of the sea from above. There’s even a nice garden courtyard which we used to its full advantage to take some top down photos of the bridal party causing mischief.
Every room in the house has something unique and styled differently, i absolutely love the dining room which has that old world gentlemen’s club feel to it that made you think what really happened back in the day, or what sort of dodgy deals were done under the table!
The ceremony was held on the grounds which looks amazing with its manicured gardens and lush greenery.
Here are the amazing vendors that made this day possible at Lindesay House Weddings
