What is an “All in one” wedding venue? To explain for those new to weddings (which is pretty much all of you reading this), it is simply a wedding venue that you can have your wedding ceremony and reception all in the one very convenient location.
Why is this the best thing ever? Because it makes your already super and crazy stressful day so much easier as you save a lot of time moving between locations and trying to move all of your guests between different locations (it’s much easier for them too and they will thank you for it!)
You and your guests simply will arrive at one location, have the best time and you won’t ever have to leave until the very end. That is really the best thing ever in my opinion and just makes your your day so much easier and stress free.
If you’re looking to do a destination wedding to places such as the Hunter Valley, Southern Highlands then finding a venue that has accommodation on site is the icing on the cake! Then no one has to drive anywhere and everyone can stumble home to their bed afterwards!
If you have decide to book a Sydney wedding venue that does not have a ceremony location on site, you would have to deal with another vendor, arrange logistics to get from there to the photo location and to reception, add a few hours of travel time and what you’ll have is a lot more stress!
So let’s get on with the The 38 Best All-In-One Wedding Ceremony & Reception Venues In Sydney.
Zest Waterfront Venues – The Spit
Despite the location being tucked inside a sailing club, The Boathouse at the Spit is slightly tucked away on one of Sydney’s busiest roads but once you’re inside you’ll forget about all of that pretty quickly!
Located right in Middle Harbour, The Boathouse has a warm feel to it that makes you feel right at home with a touch of luxury to go with it. I was most impressed with the attention to detail and quality of food and service that the guests will experience.
What was certainly unique was the canapé stations that a chef prepares right in front of you. How does a dumpling and noodle station where you get a freshly made bowl to start off with, followed by some freshly shucked oysters. It really did taste as good as it looked, and it really was a highlight of the evening amongst guests.
If you thought that was impressive, just wait till you receive your main course.
Right across the road is Spit West Reserve which faces “West” which means it has a pretty epic sunset perfect for taking last minute photos before having the night of your life.
If food is your thing, then definitely look into this venue for your Sydney wedding.
They also have their sister venue at Point Piper which has a very similar vibe and amazing waterfront views with equally impressive food and service.
Gunners Barracks
One of Sydney’s most famous wedding venues with a world class location, Gunners’ Barracks was constructed in 1873. It was so well built in fact, it’s still standing in the same spot today as it was 200 odd years ago.
No one fired any cannons at it, and the walls are still very much intact. Good news is, now that they don’t use it as a fort anymore, small intimate Sydney weddings and high tea are now their specialty.
One of the drawcards of the venue is that view of the entire Sydney harbour and why it is always such a popular place for weddings in Sydney. Photography locations are all on site so you do not need to travel any further.
I particularly love the sandstone courtyard where you can have your wedding ceremony in complete privacy or you could have it on top of Georges Lookout overlooking the entire Chowder Bay. There is enough room for 130 guests seated across the main dining room and terrace.
Ovolo Woolloomooloo
This hotel is one of the most unique I’ve visited in a long time!
Their Instagram bio says, “Whether you want out-of-the-box or something classic, Ovolo specializes in YOU-nique weddings!”—and I couldn’t agree more. The Piper Room at Ovolo can seat up to 120 guests banquet style with a dance floor, 150 for a cocktail occasion.
You can also have your wedding ceremony in the Darlo room, have your cocktail hour in the adjacent Bar Wooloomooloo and the Glasshouse and crash upstairs in the hotel room after the party is over. This hotel truly has everything you need for your special day in one very funky and unique setting.
Kittyhawk
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing many weddings at Kittyhawk, and each one has been a delightful experience. This venue, inspired by the liberation of Paris in 1944, perfectly blends old-world charm with modern flair, creating an enchanting atmosphere that’s ideal for any event. Whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or a larger celebration, Kittyhawk offers everything you need—from the ceremony to the reception—all under one roof, making it one of the best venues for couples looking to seamlessly host both parts of their wedding day in one location.
With the capacity to host up to 350 standing guests or 198 for dining, Kittyhawk can comfortably accommodate weddings of various sizes. One of the venue’s standout features is its bar, which serves as the perfect spot for a celebratory drink between events. Many couples enjoy pausing here after their ceremony, soaking in the moment before diving into the evening’s festivities.Kittyhawk is a top choice for those seeking an intimate wedding that requires minimal additional styling. The venue itself is a masterpiece, effortlessly setting the stage for a beautiful and memorable day.
Watersedge
Imagine this! A venue surrounded by Sydney’s most famous icons, including the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, providing the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable after-ceremony wedding shoot.
The Watersedge located on Level 2, features three function rooms, each accommodating up to 120 guests for a banquet. If you’re planning a cocktail-style reception, the space can comfortably host up to 250 guests.
Situated in The Rocks, this heritage-listed landmark has been beautifully restored by the award-winning architect Johnson Pilton Walker. It offers a perfect blend of historical charm and modern infrastructure, with its brick walls adding a distinctive character.
The venue is naturally stunning and is very much still in original form requiring only a few personal touches to perfectly complement your wedding theme.
You can also have your wedding ceremony in the adjacent room or have it closeby around the corner in Hickson Rd Reserve.
12-Micron
12-Micron is an exquisite venue in the heart of Barangaroo where any wedding ceremony and wedding reception can happen all-in-one.
The contemporary wedding venue exudes elegance with large light-filled windows and an open space for you to do as you wish with capacity up to 200 guests seated.
I love the light industrial look that the room has which looks amazing with some florals requiring not much effort on your part.
As for the food from my experience was pretty amazing with modern Australian touches that is certainl restaurant quality and the service is second to none by the amazing team.
Athol Hall
If you’re looking for a charming venue not so far away from the city, just enough to get away quickly from the hustle and bustle of the CBD, Athol Hall is a venue you should check out. This venue is considered to be one of Sydney’s most loved venues; me included! This venue dates back to 1850. Again, you can always rely on Sydney if you’re looking for a venue with a vintage flair to it and Atholl hall definitely gives it.
This venue can host up to 130 guests for a seated banquet with a dance floor, or 200 guests for a cocktail-style wedding reception. Your ceremony can be held in the lawn right at the front of the building with the Sydney skyline as your backdrop. It could not get any better than this!
Photography is really simple with the beach a short stroll down the stairs for one of the most magnificent views of Sydney harbour on offer.
The Mint
The Mint is a venue that is a little bit hidden away right in the Sydney CBD. It has a mix of heritage and contemporary design that certainly looks the part for your wedding day.
You can use their raised lawn inside the main courtyard and have your wedding reception in the same location if you want something outdoors under the stars.
Photography locations are plenty inside the old buildings with its columns and archways they look great in wedding photos.
If you’re looking for a venue that has an open space without any walls for your ceremony then this this is definitely the venue for you!
Oatlands Estate
Straight out of a storybook, Oatlands Estate by Navarra Venues offers a grand enchanted experience. Choose from a variety of spaces and rooms; from grand opulent ballrooms to the picturesque secluded gardens of the estate with capacity for up to 400 guests.
For your ceremony my favourite choice is the enchanted garden with a lovely staircase going into the courytyard, or right at the front of the building in front of the stone and steel arch.
If you want that garden chateau feel that has everything you need in one place then do check out Oatlands Estate for your wedding.
Camperdown Commons
In the heart of Camperdown in Sydney lies a unique vibrant urban space perfect for weddings right in the heart of inner west Sydney. It feels completely like your own backyard and in the same complex is Pocket City Farm which they grow fruit and vegetables for the restaurant.
It is a very casual space and if you want your day to be less stuffy and formal this is the place for you.
You have the choice to have a more formal sit down wedding reception in the main restaurant or you can have a more casual canape style outdoors in the backyard. There’s plenty of room for everyone up to 180 seated or 300 standing.
The wedding ceremony can be held in the pavilion area so you do not need to leave the complex once you arrive. Definitely worth checking out Camperdown Commons if you’re keen for a super easy and relaxed wedding.
Dunes Palm Beach
One of Sydney’s most stunning and exclusive locations, Dunes Palm Beach offers the idyllic seaside wedding at one of the world’s most famous beaches made popular by the TV show Home and Away.
They can cater for up to 140 guests seated or 200 canape style and you can have your wedding ceremony at many locations around Palm Beach or right at the venue itself.
The venue has a great mediterranean vibe with white washed walls with concertina windows allowing the natural seabreeze and sun to shine right through making it a great place to have your summer wedding.
The food is equally incredible with a stunning array of food and wine on offer for your guests.
Chiswick Woollahra
Chiswick Woollahra is one of Sydney’s most iconic restaurants by one of Australia’s most famous chefs Matt Moran.
Their beautiful garden with trees surrounding the venue and indoor reception areas stand out and you can have your wedding ceremony right in the lawn at the front of the venue. There is a private smaller room for 40 seated guests, or if you want to have the whole venue yes that’s possible too for up to 120 guests.
Matt Moran’s ‘Paddock to Plate’ philosophy is exceptional, making everything sustainable and equally remarkable so if food is of importance then definitely put Chiswick on your list.
Boathouse Shelly Beach
Beach Weddings! I mean, who wouldn’t want a wedding by the coast? Boathouse Shelly Beach is perfect if you’re looking for a casual beach vibes on your wedding day.
Did you know that the Shelley Beach is the only west facing beach on the east coast of Australia, meaning that you get an incredible sunset right outside the wedding venue. This is a huge benefit that I am sure you did not think about!
The Boathouse at Shelly Beach has room for 60 of your best people seated and you can have your ceremony inside with the view of the beach, or in the parklands around the area.
The food is also quite remarkable too as i’ve personally experienced when photographing a wedding here at the Boathouse.
Estate Vaucluse House
Estate Vaucluse House is the place to go if you’re looking for a venue with that old Bridgerton Victorian garden vibe which there are not many Sydney wedding venues that can boast this claim.
When you have your wedding at the Estate Vaucluse House you get your own private garden to host your wedding ceremony and garden reception right on the lawn in front of the old historic house.
It is elegant, opulent and so damn good looking so if you want an old world charm to your wedding day with sophistication this the Sydney wedding venue for you.
From your own private garden party with cocktails and canapes to creative food stations to surprise and delight your guests, celebrate your special day with us.
The transition from indoor to outdoor in this venue is seamlessly well-designed and will leave your guests stunned by the spectacular venue. The one highlight for me still is their indoor area! It has this room where windows surround you, and the open light makes everything well-lit! A photographer’s dream when capturing photos indoors. Your guests will not worry about where they’re at when trying to capture you because this venue, from any angle, will work!
Beta Events
Situated in an old historic building on 238 Clarence Street in Sydney, Beta Events is a truly unique space if you want a rustic yet classy vibe for your Sydney wedding.
The venue’s best feature is Its exposed historic brickwork which looks incredible as a backdrop for your wedding ceremony or reception and allows you to be creative and style it to your hearts content. Beta Events has three levels of event spaces Grand and the Gallery are the spaces they have for weddings, which can accommodate 200-250 guests. Or you can book out the entire ground floor for a classy affair.
If you want a classy yet sophisticated feel to your wedding, Beta Events is worth putting on your shortlist.
Views by Sydney
A hidden gem among the Sydney wedding scene, View by Sydney epitomises what a wedding venue should be. Elegance, amazing food and service and of course, that view of Sydney harbour right outside.
This venue has anything you want: picturesque locations for you and the bridal party within walking distance, great food, and a space that can cater to up 200 seated guests. I love the high ceilings and open space that allows you to create your own vision and styling.
Ottimo House
A bit of a gem for who want a country- like feel that you do not need to travel hours on end for, Ottimo House is a very popular Sydney wedding venue for good reason. It is rustic, charming and you can have your ceremony and reception all in the one location.
The old building you see as you pull in was an old woodshed where they used to shear thousands of sheep back in the day. What they left behind was a room perfect for that rustic country themed wedding that everyone just loves.
There’s room for about 450 guests there and it also allows for external caterers to suit cultural weddings.
Ottimo House also has two other rooms you can book. The Mahogany is simple, modern and fits 250 people, and the newest and smallest room is the Rosewood that looks like a horse stable and can fit 120 people.
What I love about weddings here is that you can also have your ceremony in the amphitheatre, location photos and reception all in the one place.
The best thing is, you get to make use of a golf buggy to take you up the hill for those magnificent sunset photos at the end of your day.
I’ve personally photographed over 10 wedding here and I happen to be one of their preferred suppliers. If you’re having your wedding here let me know and you’ll get a nice bonus from me.
Gledswood Homestead
A Sydney wedding venue that is a blast from the past, it was built in the 1810 and still has all of its old world convict day charm today. Think stone walled cottages, beautiful gardens and rustic barn reception rooms that look amazing.
One of my favourite places for a wedding on the outskirts of the Sydney metro area without being too far away, Gledswood Homestead is a historic property located in the Macarthur region of Sydney.
On the grounds there is a magnificent Homestead (circa 1810) which is original to this day and looks amazing in photos. The venue is surrounded by elegant gardens perfect and has a lot of character and charm all year round.
What is great is that you can have your wedding ceremony, photography location and reception right in the same place. Super easy!
I’ve photographed many weddings here and I also happen to be one of their preferred suppliers!
Centennial Homestead/Centennial Parklands
Right in the heart of Sydney’s favourite park, Centennial Homestead pretty much located in the middle of Centennial Parklands, making it a crowd favourite for those getting married in Sydney wanting to have their ceremony, photography and reception in beautiful natural setting
One of my personal favourite wedding photography locations in Sydney, Centennial Parklands really does have it all. You can choose between ten Beautiful ceremony locations that offer something unique and special, a reception venue not far away and photography spots all over the place.
Centennial Homestead has two rooms to choose from, the Wysteria which fits 300 seated and the Kitchen which is a smaller 120 person room.
Royal Botanic Garden Sydney – Lion Gate Lodge
A hidden gem inside the Royal Botanic Garden, Lion Gate Lodge is perfect for a smaller, more intimate wedding ceremony and reception if you want to take advantage of the natural garden setting during the daytime. It’s private, cozy and cute as a button.
A little hidden venue inside a very public garden, Lion Gate Lodge is set in a quiet little pocket of the Royal Botanic Gardens. It has a private entrance and is secluded enough that you won’t have those pesky tourists peeking in and trying to get a glimpse of that wedding dress of yours!
Lion Gate Lodge has a nice sized grassy area so you can setup tables and chairs with ease and there’s a paved area for you to put whatever you like there. Everything is BYO in this venue including the catering so you can do whatever you like with the space. Great for DIY weddings!
The best thing is, the whole garden is right there next to you so the photo opportunities are endless.
Royal Botanic Garden – Botanic House
Botanic House offers world-class dining experience by a world class chef, Luke Nguyen Nestled in the heart of Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden. Often overlooked by the masses, if you’re after something unique that will impress your guests this is the place for you.
What more could you ask for when it comes to looking for a wedding venue. Beautiful surrounds, a national garden that is Sydney all over and a fine dining experience that will impress everyone.
The space has been designed to take full advantage of the venue’s unique location and breath-taking garden surrounds, with expansive open plan design streaming with natural light and an outdoor terrace with stunning harbour glimpses.
You can also choose to have your wedding ceremony in any part of the Royal Botanic Garden, making it super convenient for you and your guests.
My personal favourite for wedding ceremony at the Royal Botanic Garden is the Palm House. Built in 1876, The Palm House is the oldest glasshouse in New South Wales. Flooded with natural light, the Palm House is great rain, hail or shine and still looks amazing even as a wet weather backup.
Pilu at Freshwater
For those wanting a intimate event for your nearest and dearest, Pilu has it all. Food by renowned chef Giovanni Pilu, a wine list to match and a view of one of Sydney’s iconic beaches.
Pilu at Freshwater is renowned for its award-winning food and it’s million dollar views. Located on Freshwater Beach in Sydney’s northern beaches, it’s certainly a venue to shortlist if amazing views and really great food are high on the priority.
The venue is right there on the beach so you can quickly duck out for some portraits barefoot, and you can even have your ceremony in the terrace garden courtyard if you have a small enough headcount.
The food is nothing short of amazing as you’d expect from a two hatted restaurant.
Watsons Bay Boutique
A retractable roof makes this sheltered space with multi-million dollar views of the Sydney harbour perfect for couples who like to have fun.
What’s better than that view of one of Sydney’s most famous bays with the sun setting behind it? Not a whole lot, but imagine having your Sydney wedding right here at Watsons Bay Botique!
The food is heavily inspired by Italian family “share” style which I really found was so awesome. Think hearty platters of food generous in portion and you have plenty of variety to choose from.
And best of all, all of your guests can stay right on site so they can turn your wedding into a mini getaway! There’s not many places in Sydney that you can walk out of your door and the wedding is right there (no excuses if you’re late unfortunately).
Ceremony spots are at the nearby Robertson Park (right across the road), Gibsons Beach or Camp Cove, all within 5 minutes of the Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel
Museum of Contemporary Art
For those who want a classy wedding day experience, then look no further than the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Located on the most famous tourist places in all of Sydney, the Museum of Contemporary Art certainly is not a place you would consider at first glance for a wedding in Sydney.
But deep beneath it all there’s some pretty epic spaces that transforms the art museum into a pretty special wedding venue that’s unique and funky in nature, and pretty special too.
I particularly love the rooftop terrace (Harbourside Room) as it has sweeping million dollar views of the entire harbour. You can also have your ceremony with that view behind you on the private terrace deck and have your reception in the same building afterwards.
NSW Art Gallery
Simple, elegant and utterly exquisite. Housed in one of the most beautiful art galleries in the world, it’s a pretty unique space in Sydney’s wedding scene.
Not only is it a magical space to have your wedding, the venue is first and foremost a damn good restaurant headed up by Matt Moran, one of Sydney’s most famous chefs and restauranteurs.
What that means is you’re in for a treat if you decide to have your Sydney wedding here.
The food is splendidly wonderful as expected as too is the selection of wine available.
NOTE: One of the best things to note is that you have exclusive access to have your bridal party photos inside the Art Gallery after it closes (fist pump)
Grounds of Alexandria
What does the Grounds of Alexandria have to do with Four and Twenty meat pies?
It’s all in the past, but the site used to be a giant pie factory in its day, but how cool is it to be able to be married in a world famous Sydney dining institution?
Probably one of Sydney’s most famous brunch spots that somehow every time you go there you bump into someone you know, The Grounds of Alexandria is a pretty cool place to be on a Sunday morning.
It’s also a pretty cool place to spend the best Saturday evening of your life (i.e. your wedding night)
I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph three Sydney weddings there each time in a different venue. They’ve got spaces for really intimate elopement style weddings (Lock Inn), middle sized ones (The Atrium and Rostery) and even bigger ones (The Garden). Each of the spaces are perfectly themed and has heaps of elegance and character.
The Garden is probably my favourite place in the whole venue. You don’t need to spend huge dollars on styling to make the venue look good as it already looks AMAZING in the first place.
If you’re looking for something truly unique in a super chilled out setting with great food and wine then definitely put The Grounds of Alexandria on your list.
Pier One Sydney
Imagine getting married under one of the world’s most iconic structures. Picture that for a moment…
Then open your eyes, and you’ll see this magnificent Sydney Harbour Bridge right there in front of you. That’s what it feels like to have your Sydney wedding right here. Personally I don’t think there’s a better view if you love the city you live in.
At Pier One Sydney Harbour you can choose from two premium harbourside wedding ceremony locations, both with water views. An outdoor wedding ceremony on the pier directly harbourside, or tie the knot in the marquee under the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge in the Bridge Marquee.
Just a short walk around the venue you’ve got some really great wedding photography locations in Sydney such as the Opera House, the finger wharf, Observatory Hill and the Rocks.
Sergeants Mess
Overlooking Chowder Bay, Sergeants’ Mess is set in one of Sydney’s most breathtaking locations amongst native bushland, it has some pretty spectacular views of Sydney Harbour. It is completely private so you won’t have any onlookers passing by and taking a peak at your wedding.
You can have your wedding ceremony in the amphitheatre which allows your guests to have a great view of your ceremony wherever they seat themselves, and afterwards they can simply walk up the stairs to the reception room. How easy is that?
Burnt orange Mosman
Housed in a historic sandstone mansion in Mosman, Burnt Orange is a boutique venue that will set your wedding apart.
With two uniquely beautiful spaces and a range of packages available, we can host weddings for up to 200 people for a seated dinner or up to 250 people for a cocktail event with roaming drinks and canapes. For a smaller more intimate wedding, our Signals Room is a stunning location with an outdoor sandstone terrace overlooking the harbour. For larger weddings, our premier space the Balcony offers sweeping views over Middle Head and Chowder Bay. With our secluded location and bushland surrounds, it’s hard to believe how close we are to Sydney’s CBD.
Q Station Manly
I honestly had no idea you could get married inside a former Quarantine Station, but now you can!
Q Station is a pretty unique Sydney wedding venue that has history, character and heritage all built in. Despite its dark past, that’s well and truly gone now so what remains is a pretty special place if you are looking for something different.
You have some amazing outdoor locations for your wedding ceremony, options include The Headland, The Wharf, The Glasshouse or The Woodlands and they are all accessible via the personal chauffeurs who drive you around the station, and it also has wet weather backup options in case the weather turns nasty. ( a real bonus!)
Being a historic venue, you have so many great wedding photo opportunities around including the wharf during sunset (as pictured above) and the old buildings around.
For reception you have a number of historic rooms which you can choose from depending on how large your party is.
William Inglis Hotel Warwick Farm
For those who live in South West Sydney and for whatever reason do not want to stray too much further than home but have a stylish and sophisticated wedding venue, make sure you check out the William Inglis Hotel at the Warwick Farm racecourse. It is a brand new, purpose built venue that houses a really Big Barn, nestled amongst the Riverside Stables garden.
It has a gorgeous old world feel with the feeling you’re in the country that has plenty of room for up to 500 guests.
You can have your ceremony in its garden courtyard and photography amongst the stables and grounds of the racecourse as well as the pool terrace overlooking the entire venue.
Audley Dance Hall
Set amidst native bushland with views over the Hacking River, Audley Dance Hall is a pretty chilled out and relaxed wedding venue overlooking the river and parklands within the Royal National Park.
The heritage listed and tastefully refurbished Dance Hall overlooks the grounds of Audley and the Hacking River from the full length, wide, sloping verandah.
The heritage listed Dance Hall can accommodate up to 200 seated guests and you can have your ceremony anywhere you like inside the national park as well as a super convenient location for photography nearby.
Audley Dance Hall offers six locations to choose from for wedding ceremony, all with stunning views of the 2nd oldest National Park, and you even get the wildlife taking a sticky beak!
National Art School
Little did I know there was a women’s jail right in the heart of inner city Darlinghurst. It’s not a jail anymore, but they left behind a nice unique wedding space that you can make it your own.
You can see the old cell blocks that were in place and if you’re after something old and rustic this place has it in spades.
You get the whole place to yourself including the National Art School campus to run around and take photos in. You can also do your own catering and DIY everything.
It will give the song Jailhouse rock new meaning if you get married here! Sorry bad joke
Deckhouse Woolwich
Deckhouse is a little hidden gem that I’ve grown very fond of over the years which has beautiful parkland setting and waterfront surroundings. You can have your wedding ceremony in nearby Clark Park, a short stroll away or right in front of the venue.
It has room for up to 450 guests but you can also have smaller weddings here too so there’s something for everyone. Plus the food service is pretty amazing being part of the Dedes Group of venues.
In terms of wedding photography, there’s plenty of great spots nearby. My personal favourite is the old wharf next to the venue nearby the water. It’s pretty special!
Taronga Events at Taronga Zoo
What’s better than exotic animals on your wedding day? I don’t mean a particular guest that you know is a bit rowdy, but to have your Sydney wedding ceremony and reception in amongst the world’s best zoos at Taronga Events.
The pick of the ceremony locations has to be the Bird Amphitheatre, which boasts a pretty epic view of the entire Sydney Harbour, but it also has its own seating so you won’t have to worry about that (saving you $$$).
Best part of the whole zoo wedding experience has to be the private buggy photo tour around the zoo after it closes, so you choose if you want the giraffes, meerkats or elephants photobombing your wedding photos (not a bad thing I reckon!)
There are 3 rooms to choose from for reception to suit a larger crowd with interrupted views of the entire city in the evening, and the food and wine is pretty awesome to match. Guests can also stay at the Wildlife Retreat right next door so you can simply crash into your bed and wake up with the sounds of the kookaburras the next morning.
Zest Waterfront Venues – Point Piper
Located at the Royal Motor Yacht Club, Zest Waterfront at Point Piper is just as outstanding as its sister venue at the Spit. It has a commanding view of Rose Bay cove and I would describe it as luxuriously relaxed with a beach house like styling throughout making it a very easy place to love.
The most incredible part of the venue is its food experience and it is well known for making it unique and remarkable with its roving degustation concept where you receive lots of small courses that are incredibly delicious.
And if that doesn’t get you excited then just wait till you receive your main course!
There is room for 150 seated guests or if you want a more relaxed experience then a cocktail reception can be done.
Olio at Kensington Street
Why have your wedding at a boring, dull reception hall when you can have it at a proper restaurant with food that’s just really really good and will certainly impress your guests
Olio Kensington Street is situated in The Old Rum Store. I love the old school warehouse feel that it has and the exposed brick and large glass windows really make this venue very hip indeed!
The food is very Sicilian in nature, and award winning chef Lino Sauro will make sure you and your guests will be transported back to Sicily on your wedding day.
NSW State Library
Did you know you can have your wedding ceremony and reception inside the NSW State Library? Most likely you have not, but something that is quite different that’s for sure.
Inside the very original Mitchell Building houses several rooms suitable for smaller Sydney wedding ceremonies under 100 persons. More recently I photographed in the Friends and gallery rooms. It’s got a lot of old world charm and character.
You can also access one of the rooms that is normally closed to the public, the Shakespeare room where it feels like an old English library room complete with a statue of the old man himself, William Shakespeare.
