A super chilled out seaside Sydney wedding at the Watsons Bay Hotel
Cindy and Bruce were married on a wet and miserable spring in 2018. When the sun should be shining and the weather fining up it turned out to be a rather grey and wet event.
But nonetheless, the show must go on and they did exactly that.
The weather did let them have their wedding ceremony outdoors in front of Dunbar House which was newly renovated to improve access to the beautiful lawn overlooking Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel Weddings.
Both Bruce and Cindy were able to stay in the same location as their wedding venue, which is super convenient and made things oh so simple!
They started their day with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony which they honoured their parents for their upbringing.
Afterwards, the ceremony was held at Dunbar House right across the road in front of the lawn. Funnily enough there was a running festival on and they had runners and walkers crossing by their ceremony the whole time! But nothing was going to distract them from getting married.
After the ceremony, we had a quick photo session on the small beach in Watsons Bay before heading up to the Sunset Room where the reception and party would be held. It’s nice and cozy, with beautiful large windows facing the bay which gives great lighting during the day.
The room was styled simply by the team at Watsons Bay Hotel and made the room look amazing.
The food was share style the whole time, with massive amounts of antipasti, dips and breads before sitting down family style. The food was plentiful, and encouraged everyone to try everything which i think is a great idea. Things like seafood platters., lamb shoulder, roasted ocean trout and eton mess was on the menu.
Photos afterwards were taken at Camp Cove nearby.
