When I first walked into Brittany's place I was greeted with a big giant lick and very fluffy large dog jumping all over me.
Brittany introduced me to Bailey, their beloved Groodle. She told me to give him some treats and she will be your best friend all day long.
So I happily obliged and Baily and I became best buddies and I was now part of her inner circle. YAY! The day started off with Brittany and Matt getting ready at their respective homes before the wedding ceremony.
The entire wedding was held at Gunners Barracks, located in Sydney's lower north shore and is one of my favourite wedding venues in Sydney for good reason. It has a bit of history being a naval base during World War II, and home to several large guns facing the ocean, hence the name. It also has a stunning stone building where the reception is held and a courtyard in the middle where you can have your wedding ceremony.
The ceremony began with Bailey having the offiicial task of being the ring bearer, deliver the rings to Matt who greeted her with a big giant hug and a kiss, followed by Brittany who looked absolutely amazing in her dress. Rosie Beaton, the celebrant was actually Matt's nanny growing up and she told some lovely stories of Matt as a young boy and how she became part of the family.
It was a really beautiful ceremony and tears were flowing like waterworks for the entire time.
We then headed up with the bridal party to Georges Lookout, just up the hill for sunset photos with the bridal party before heading back to the wedding reception at Gunners Barracks.
The food at Gunners Barracks was amazing as always, and the wines were supplied by Matt's sister, who is the winemaker for the family winery Drury Lane wines based in the Hunter Valley
Thanks to the team for making it all possible
