Sydney wedding »

Clarice &
Peter

A colourful and fun filled wedding at The Calyx complete with personal touches from the bride and groom

This had to be one of my favourite Sydney wedding of 2023, if not ever in my 10 years. Clarice and Peter are incredibly close to all their friends and family and wanted to celebrate in style with everyone.

When they were planning their wedding, they asked themselves "Do we want to go on a mega honeymoon or throw the biggest party for their loved ones? I l know exactly what they chose now!

I got to know Clarice and Peter really well during our couple photo session that they planned in the Blue Mountains. They told me about their love for food, travelling, their friends and family and their love for Pokemon! I knew going into their wedding that I needed to capture the day for what it was.  A true dedication to their best people they absolutely loved and adored, and document the day so they could remember how freaking damn awesome it was!

The day started at their home where they both live and they actually got ready on separate levels so they would not see each other before their first look. The boys were chilling out playing video games (one of their common hobbies) and the girls were just chilling out getting their makeup and hair done.

Peter and Clarice wanted to have a first look all to themselves at the nearby park where they live so they could shake off all their pre-wedding nervousness. And it certainly worked a treat for them and they were able to see each other for the first time looking all glammed up!

Clarice and Peter are both into art and crafts and did a lot of the design work themselves with the help of some of the best wedding vendors. Clarice designed the wedding favours which was a little rabbit pin, the placecards, guest table signs and even the design of the tablecloths. It was a labour of love but boy did it look amazing!

The wedding ceremony and reception was all held in the same location, The Calyx which houses the largest green wall in the Southern Hemisphere and was the perfect wedding venue for their love of florals and green spaces. It has plenty of open natural lighting with large floor to ceiling windows and and skylights that give it beautiful natural lighting. I really love how good it looks without doing too much to it.

To top it all off they even did a fully coreographed acrobatic dance routine that sent the crowd into a frenzy and kick off what was an amazing night with heartfelt speeches by their family and friends, greek dancing and a whole lot of fun!

I wanted to give a heartfelt thank you to each of the vendors who made this dream wedding possible for Clarice and Peter at the Calyx in the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
