Who wants to get married in Winter? These days it is becoming more common, and I can understand why my clients decided to do this.
Firstly, many wedding venues are quieter during this time, meaning that you can get an amazing deal on your wedding reception. My clients wanted a venue that was not too large and had some character, but also have a bit of a wow factor.
A Cafe turned awesome wedding venue
When Mabel and Andrew mentioned they were getting married at Cafe Birkenhead, I said “where?”and I had to go look it up. Turns out it’s right inside Birkenhead Point Outlet Centre. I’ve been there so many times to go shopping, but never come across this venue for weddings. They told me that they frequently go shopping for clothes in the Birkenhead Point Outlet Centre, and have lunch there every time they go.
Turns out that the Cafe is, literally a cafe during the day and they only recently this year decided that they wanted to host Sydney Weddings during the evening. I think they are onto a winner here!
What’s it like for weddings?
The venue is working hard to impress it shows in their level of service and the food is pretty good. Cafe standard that’s for sure.
The room is adorned with white walls, and a open layout meaning you can deck out the room however you wish.
Fairy lights hang from the ceiling which makes for a nice atmosphere. I love the nice and cozy fire feature walls to the side where it is perfect to warm up on a cold winter’s night.
The venue has plenty of room for a decent sized dance floor, which allowed the guests to completely let their hair down and party the night away. I absolutely adore the wall to ceiling windows that overlook the boat harbour and Birkenhead Point.
If you are thinking about having a Wedding at Cafe Birkenhead, be sure to have a look. You’ll be glad you did once you check it out and see it for its potential to make your night amazing.
It’s really worth looking into for your Sydney Wedding if you’re after a venue that is a little out of the box, and something you don’t associate with a “wedding”.
