3 Reasons why Rain on your Wedding Day isn’t that bad
Rain is a fact of life, and sometimes it does rain on your Sydney Wedding. Of course, the weather is something that you can’t control, but don’t despair! It can make your wedding photography Sydney more interesting and exciting. I even heard someone say to me once that rain on your wedding day is good luck.
Here is why I think rain on your wedding day isn’t that bad and how to deal with it on your wedding day.
1) It makes for interesting wedding photography Sydney
When it rains on your Sydney wedding, it makes for very interesting photos. A blue sky and sunshine is nice, but it is kinda boring and your photos end up looking the same as everyone elses. When there is rain and dark clouds about, it gives your wedding photos added dimension and contrast, something that is lacking in photos on sunny days. The weather can make or break your wedding day, but it certainly makes for great wedding photos when there is a storm about.
Better still, you can pull out your umbrella and get some silly photos playing in the rain!
The photo below was taken where it rained most of the day, and not long after it bucketed down rain and hail storms. Look at those clouds in the horizon….very interesting indeed! Imagine if it was a sunny day how boring it would look.
2) It is actually really fun with rain!
Nothing breaks the ice better than rain on your wedding day. Everyone likes to get nice and cozy under the umbrella, and everyone finds a way to smile and have fun. Despite the best efforts of the weather, it will never dampen your wedding day when you have your best friends and family around! Even the most serious bridesmaid and groomsman turns into a cackling and giggly kid when you have to run for cover.
This one is a client who had their engagement photography done on a wet day in the Blue Mountains. Check out those storm clouds coming in!
3) It’s meant to be good luck!
So the saying goes if it rains on your wedding day it’s good luck. Well I dare say that is completely true and I actually really enjoy it when it rains. For my clients who had a wet wedding day, they tell me it was the most fun they ever had and the photos even turned out better for it. Even Julie told me so!
“We can’t begin to tell you how much we love our photos! Kevin and Lily were fantastic given the rain and I think the photos possibly turned out better because of it” Julie and Anthony
Enough said!
Love to hear your thoughts and comments and if you had a wet and rainy wedding day, did it make for great wedding photos?
