A rustic farm country style wedding at Seclusions Blue Mountains
It was freaking cold, actually it was a record 5 degrees in March.
The coldest in over 20 years. But it didn't stop Mel and Dave from making it the most memorable day for their friends and family.
The property is set on 20 very private acres, complete with boutique spa cabins and stunning views of rolling countryside and towering Mount Walker, so most of your guests are able to stay there right onsite, making things super easy for everyone.
It is also home to 3 brown highland cows, quite a few sheep and some very randy alpacas who wouldn't stop photobombing us.
Best thing of all is, you've got this place all to yourself!
Malynda, Russell and the team are super passionate about their venue, and making it feel like home. They also help to style the reception venue to make it look really nice without going overboard.
They even went over and above by providing snuggly blankets to keep everyone toasty during the ceremony!
During the ceremony there were plenty of tears, laughs and heckles from the audience of close knit friends and family. Afterwards, everyone retreated to the room closest to the fireplace and they all huddled in there nice and toasty with delicious cocktails and canapes and grazing on the dessert table.
Whilst this was all happening, I took the bridal party out for some location photos Seclusions Blue Mountains. One of the highlights of the day was our photos with the resident animals, who were pretty excited to see us. Particularly, the apples that Russell had in his arms!
The property has plenty of great wedding photography locations within a few minutes walk with stunning views of the rolling countryside, tall pine forests and grassy plains.
We even spotted some Kangaroos hopping in the grass during the end of the day!
Afterwards, we headed (actually ran) into the reception room, which was nice and warm with gas heaters (very good idea) where we spent the rest of the evening partying, listening to some touching speeches from family members and friends.
At the end of the evening, we headed outside one last time for a sparkler exit under the stars in the freezing cold, Malynda brought out a huge gas blow torch to light them all up quick smart! A perfect end to a pretty cold, but epic wedding day at Seclusions Blue Mountains
