An absolute stunning venue for that got to have rustic country style wedding, Tocal Homestead Weddings ticks all of the boxes. Quiet. Quaint. Plenty of grass. Wooden Barns and stone cottages. Really big fig trees. They have it all. Only 2.5 hours from Sydney, it is just north of Maitland but miles away from the city lights.
Tocal Homestead will suit couple who are looking for a venue which is private, out-of-the-ordinary, yet traditional and loves the country style.
You can choose to have your wedding ceremony under the gigantic fig trees in the Homestead garden, in Blacket Barn, or more formally in the Tocal Chapel nearby. My clients chose to have their ceremony in the Blacket Barn and had their reception afterwards at the Heritage Hay Shed.
Photos afterwards are a breeze as there are a multitude of locations to choose from. Open grassy fields, barnhouses, stone huts, heritage buildings and shady trees make it a photographer’s dream for location shoots.
It is a beautiful setting to have a reception, with wooden ceilings and walls making it wam and cozy, but not super squashy where everyone is sitting on top of each other.
Must I say the food that the catering company, Sprout Catering was wonderfully simple and the meat was not overcooked and dry, but moist and succulent.
Overall, I loved my short time here at the Tocal Homestead in Tocal for Tocal Homestead Weddings. I highly recommend having your country wedding here for those who want it all in one place.
