A beautiful Sydney wedding at Vaucluse House
Vaucluse House is just one of those truly unique Sydney wedding venues that is just something special from years gone past.
Set in ten hectares of picturesque gardens and grounds, Vaucluse House is hidden away in one very treasured 19th century estate. It is part of Sydney’s living museums which means it’s a state treasure.
I am so glad the New South Wales Government appreciates how beautiful Vaucluse House is and it’s worth protecting for generations to enjoy.
Dating back to 1803, Vaucluse House has heritage, charm, sophistication and really just perfect for wedding photography. People come here to spend the day relaxing and painting it’s beautiful castle like building.
Jade and Jason chose to have their wedding ceremony in the lush garden nearby the 18th century fountain with a lovely view of the house in the background.
This Vaucluse House wedding was just so beautiful. Everyone in attendance was so at awe with everything about it.
The arrival of the bride
Awaiting the bride to arrive, the guests were eagerly awaiting the entrance. In came the silver Jaguar E Type through the lush greenery and down the cobbled driveway.
As Jason waited for his bride to walk down the aisle, out came his daughter. He was so taken with emotion and began to cry. It then started a chain reaction of tears with everyone.
The Lone Pine Garden is surrounded by beautiful greenery, and the feature lone pine stands proudly tall. There was 100 guests and there was plenty of space for everyone. It’s tucked away and slightly hidden so you have your own private lawn.
As soon as they made their vows to each other, you could just tell how much they care deeply for each other and their families.
I absolutely love Jade’s lacy dress! Jason’s green suit jacket also looked the part too. Very sharp!
Bridal party photography at Vaucluse House
Not only is it great for wedding ceremonies, it is surrounded by lush gardens and an old original horse stable which is perfect for wedding photography.
Here the bridal party is acting cool in the old stables , horsing around (hehe)
Inside the stable it’s nice and dark for those more moodier moments.
The pleasure garden is just outside the house. It was a great place to have the bridal party photos after the wedding ceremony
Getting lost in the Paradise Garden was actually pretty fun! There’s so many little hiding spots to get great photos
If you’re looking for a unique Sydney wedding ceremony location, I would definitely recommend you put Vaucluse House on your shortlist. It’s got charm, history and character beyond its years!
Just wanted to thank the team at Sydney Living Museums for allowing us to use this space for Jade and Jason’s wedding day, and keeping the grounds in pristine condition for all of us to enjoy for years to come.
I certainly cannot wait to come back for my next Sydney wedding here.
