So back to the wedding day, and Hien and Jesper had a lot of friends and relatives from The Netherlands attend, so they started their day lounging around their holiday home in Palm Beach. The star of the show was Hien and Jesper’s 6 month old son, Rupert who you’ll see in the photos below that he is truly loved by everyone, especially the grandparents who are totally besotted by him!
The reception room was beautifully styled by Jesper’s relatives and you can see the it was beautifully styled with the beach in mind as well as some homage to Hien’s Australian heritage with eucalypts adoring the table setup and fairy lights that made the evening nice and romantic.
The ceremony styling was all done with care by Abby and the team at Lovesick Weddings and I love the simple wooden arbour and beachy florals that it had.
One of the greatest things that I noticed was the cocktail selection during canapé hour, not only do you get an amazing choice of wine and beer but you also have Aperol Spritz cocktails to pass the time with and enjoy a great time with friends. It was the first time I’ve seen it on the menu and I couldn’t help myself but to have a cheeky one too!
I was amazed at how great the food selection was and I can see that the chefs take great pride in creating a delicious menu that is inspired by the seaside. Think slow roasted lamb shoulder, crispy barramundi fillets, Limoncello Tiramisu , Sea Salt Sticky date pudding…yum!
Red Soda Band provided the beachside ambience with their sweet tunes all night long.
